Here is an open forum on what should/could be done with the Dome...pretty interesting ideas, and opinions here.

Definitely worth reading.

BUD ADAMS ARTICLE

Here's a pretty good read about Bud Adams. We typically viewed him as public enemy #1, and he was certainly flawed as an honor (firing Bum, and replacing him with Ed Biles....hmmm.) But, you can't deny that this man was a pioneer both on and off the field.

This year, he celebrates his 50th year in professional football.

THE DOME RANKED AS ONE OF TOP STADIUMS EVER

Here's an article from a website ranking the Most Influential Baseball Stadiums. Interesting take on #1...can't really disagree with any of these, although I'd rank Yankee Stadium above Fenway.

SOUL BOWL '69

On June 13, 1969, THE DOME hosted the Soul Bowl '69. Billed as the the largest Blues Concert ever...the Dome played host to Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Sam and Dave, and of course the Staples Singers. Check out Mavis and the rest of The Staples Singers here!

Wow! Must've been sweet!  40 years ago today...I know where I would have been.
